Vice President of Administration
Fiona Barrett joined PFS in 2009 as a member of the grants management team and transitioned to Operations Manager in 2012. In her role as VP of Administration she is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems to streamline the grantmaking process for grantees, foundation board members, and PFS staff. Fiona also works with the management team on business development and organizational strategic planning.
Prior to her time at PFS, Fiona spent six years working for Kidpower, a nonprofit organization teaching people of all ages and abilities personal safety skills. She was responsible for implementing grant-funded programming, trained and supervised staff, and coordinated workshops with organizations all over the Bay Area. Fiona received her BA in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz and an MBA from UC Berkeley. A Berkeley native, Fiona is now a proud Oakland resident. She enjoys cooking with ingredients from local farmers markets, reading, and exercise classes with silly names.
