Annie Yates

Senior Foundation Staff

Annie Yates joined PFS in 2005 and is a member of the senior program staff working intensively with two client foundations and incorporating her experience dedicated to the environmental field for over ten years.  She serves as Director of the Bella Vista Foundation’s Ecosystem Restoration Program, which works to restore targeted watersheds in Northern California and Oregon. In 2012, she became the Executive Director of the GGS Foundation, which focuses on literacy, healthy living and vocational training for underserved youth in San Francisco and Marin Counties. In her role, Annie works closely with board and family members to ensure measurable impact and effective grant strategy, as well as coordinating extensive site visits and board tours of grantee agencies – often times in remote, beautiful locations.

Prior to PFS, Annie spent seven years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Southwest Region Office in San Francisco, managing state and tribal pesticide program grants. She holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University and a law degree from University of California at Berkeley. Annie is also a member of the State Bar of California. Outside of work, Annie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an avid tennis player, cyclist, and skier.
