EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Reapplication Procedure for Subsequent Grants (report not to exceed seven pages; cover letter not to exceed two pages):

The Early Childhood Development Progress Report Form needs to be completed and sent to Bella Vista approximately seven months after the grant is made—please check the main Bella Vista Foundation guidelines page for the exact dates. This will be the core of your subsequent grant request, telling us about your program's successes, challenges, and changes. Since we have information about your organization from your first proposal, for any subsequent proposal, write a short cover letter (not to exceed two pages) on agency letterhead stating your new goals and objectives and addressing any changes that may have occurred with your organization's management or overall health. If, as a result of what you have learned from the previous year, you want to change your program, then state your changes and, as appropriate, your new or amended hypothesis. In addition, send a copy of your most current financial statements and a new project budget, including a list of the other foundations which are funding the project or being approached for funding. Please note that for agencies reapplying for a grant, BVF will consider granting funds for organizational capacity building, including strategic planning and the development of tools for effective evaluation and continuous assessment and learning.
